Came across a stack of photographs, it happened to be photos from my primary school (elementary school) Silat Primary School, 石叻小学. Memories from my school days in Silat 1 (1975 to 1980) came flooding in. What an age of innocence at that time. How time flies, I am no longer 12 years old, but approaching 40 this year.
Going through the photos, I wondered how my classmates were doing now? How many are married? How many not? Are some of my friends celebrities? lawyers? doctors? How many are successful and again, who are those that are not? As friends, how could I still shower any concern if I want to? How should I search for them, my fond memories that are lost forever? Or do they still remember me, as Mun Keong, who at the age of 12, was only 1.35 m and weighed only 26 kg. Of course, now aged 40, I am fat and weigh 72 kg despite the fact that I have not grown very tall with a height of just 1.7 m.
I even went to the internet, and found almost nothing on the web, so I decide to scan my photos and post it on the web and leave this beautiful memories for all to see.
I was also wondering if my classmate will still remember the school, which has ceased to exist in Singapore. I also wondered if one of my classmates will one day come across this blog, and will leave a message, hey, I rememebered you.
